Page with Photographs of "Dad Buck" (Claude) and "Mother Ruth" (Ruth Eldora)

Format

Photographic prints and paper tickets on cardstock

Date

c. 1912

Location

500 S State St, Ann Arbor, MI 48109

Description

This page of the scrapbook depicts sweet moments between Claude S. Buchanan and his future wife, Ruth Eldora Buchanan née Parrent. On the rightmost side, Claude shows off what he describes as "one of our 'best' photos," featuring him and Ruth standing hand in hand. Tickets from Club Pylon dances decorate the space in between photographs, perhaps from the events Claude and Ruth attended in each other's company. On the left, a picture of Claude and Ruth hitching a ride on a boat is visible, smiling and joyful.
